     Meet Our Management Trainees
 
 

My first placement was in Engineering Department, where I received on the job training on Engineering Operations. I was then attached to Production department and then Procurement, where I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge on manufacturing operations. The one-year rotational training programme has been a fruitful learning experience and I contributed using the skills I’ve learnt in school and acquired on-the-job.

Europtronic is my first job since I graduated from college, and my first training stop was Suzhou, China. During my rotational training, CMTP has proven itself to be more than just application of academic concepts that most of us received from our school days. The many training resources and practical hands-on work opportunities offered by Europtronic had allowed me to gain deep insights on company operations; such valuable experience has indeed accelerated my learning curve as a newcomer to the corporate world.

I am very glad that I have chosen CMTP. Through this programme, I get to experience various working cultures in China and Singapore, which are different from working in Taiwan. During the process of job rotation, I have gained a comprehensive and deep understanding of each function of the division I was attached to, as well as the overall operations of the company. Europtronic CMTP, to me, really is a stage of not only a variety of learning experiences, but also discoveries. From day one, one will first start discovering what the programme is really about and what it has to offer. More importantly, one will also start discovering himself being put in different challenging situations and circumstances. If I were to be asked what are the specific requirements to have a full taste of this CMTP- an inquisitive mind, an open mind, motivation-driven initiatives and a positive learning/hardworking attitude are key fundamentals. Do expect a steep learning curve and real life practical lessons in overseas settings most likely not covered in any classrooms.

I joined Europtronic as a management trainee in September 2010. It felt like a unique opportunity to get to know the business. As one of the management trainees, I realized I’m able to fast-track my career with the rotational training plan Europtronic has to offer. Being able to work in China definitely is a plus-point. If you’ve worked there, there’s a mutual respect and understanding of cultures, which I think is a skill that’s extremely important. One thing that I would like to highlight here is that lots of resources are invested in me and with all the on-job trainings, I truly think that I can grow with Europtronic.
